Job Description

• Perform routine mechanical maintenance to complex machine and equipment repairs.
• Read technical manuals to understand equipment and controls.
• Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components.
• Detect minor problems by performing basic diagnostic tests.
• Adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal specifications.
• Clean and lubricate equipment or machinery.
• Document repairs from service requests & PM in a computerized maintenance management system.
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and lift trucks to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery.

• Possessing a Valid Industrial Mechanic/Millwright 433A trade certificate for the province of Ontario or working towards it.
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial experience.
• Experience in performing routine mechanical maintenance to complex machine and equipment repairs.
• Ability to repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components.
• Capability to detect minor problems by performing basic diagnostic tests.
• Skill in adjusting and calibrating equipment and machinery to optimal specifications.
• Ability to clean and lubricate equipment or machinery.
• Experience in moving machinery and equipment.
• Proficient in documenting repairs in a computerized maintenance management system.
• Familiarity with operating hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and lift trucks.
