Job Title: Safety Manager

Job Summary:
The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company's safety programs and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role involves collaborating with various departments to promote a culture of safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Organize and conduct safety training for employees at all levels, including new hire orientations, refresher courses, and specialized training as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions, and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement emergency response and preparedness plans.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to workplace safety.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters and serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
- Promote a culture of safety by encouraging proactive reporting of hazards and participation in safety programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) are preferred.
Working Conditions:
