Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team on a contract basis in Plantation, FL. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a solid understanding of laboratory procedures and equipment. This role requires a meticulous individual with the ability to work independently and ensure accuracy in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all laboratory activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new protocols and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with laboratory equipment.
- Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and order new materials as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to achieve project goals.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Lab Technician or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in laboratory equipment and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with specific laboratory techniques relevant to the industry.
- Knowledge of quality control and assurance processes.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Understanding of environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Contract Details:

- Duration: Temp to Perm 
- Compensation: 28-35 per hour
- Working Hours: 8-5
- Start Date: ASAP
