Job Title: Project Manager - Construction Materials Testing

Location: Granger, IN

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager for our Construction Materials Testing division in Granger, IN. The successful candidate will oversee project planning, execution, and completion while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. The role demands strong leadership skills, technical expertise in construction materials testing, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage multiple construction materials testing projects simultaneously, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and coordinate resources efficiently.
- Oversee the testing and evaluation of construction materials, including concrete, soil, asphalt, and other building materials.
- Ensure all testing procedures comply with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or changes in project scope.
- Collaborate with field and laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely collection and analysis of data.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of testing results and project progress.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards are met across all projects.
- Manage and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to foster professional development.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in construction materials testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction materials testing, with at least 2 years in a project management role.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and testing procedures for construction materials.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certifications in construction materials testing.
- Experience with construction projects in both public and private sectors.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal construction regulations and compliance requirements.
