The Category Analyst will be responsible for analyzing data and trends to support category management strategies, optimize product assortments, and improve business performance. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze sales and market data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks within assigned categories.
- Develop and maintain category reports, dashboards, and presentations to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with procurement, marketing, and sales teams to implement category strategies and optimize product assortments.
- Monitor competitor activities and market conditions to provide insights and recommendations for category enhancements.
- Assist in the development and execution of pricing strategies and promotional plans.
- Support inventory management efforts by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align category strategies with overall business objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Category Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
