Job Title: Sanitation Manager

Location: Kennesaw, GA

Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Job Summary:

The Sanitation Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the sanitation operations within our facility in Kennesaw, GA. This role ensures that all sanitation activities are in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies to maintain a clean and safe environment for all employees. The Sanitation Manager will lead a team of sanitation staff, develop and implement sanitation procedures, and manage the scheduling and performance of sanitation tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement sanitation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, such as FDA, USDA, and OSHA.
- Lead and manage the sanitation team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure cleanliness and adherence to sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate sanitation activities and resolve any sanitation-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, inspections, and compliance documentation.
- Develop and manage the sanitation budget, including procurement of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Ensure proper maintenance and operation of sanitation equipment.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sanitation procedures and implement improvements as needed.
- Respond to emergency sanitation situations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on sanitation best practices and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Food Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a sanitation management role within a manufacturing or food processing environment.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation regulations and standards, including FDA, USDA, and OSHA.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and sanitation management software.
- Certification in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) or similar is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds as part of routine duties.
- Exposure to chemicals and cleaning agents.
