Air Quality – Project Manager / Senior Project Manager
Salary range: $85K–$95K
We are seeking an experienced Air Permitting and Environmental Compliance Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join a growing Environmental Permitting & Compliance team. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of professional experience in air quality consulting and a proven ability to manage technical work, clients, and teams.Prepare and review construction and operating air permit applications in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Perform and review emission calculations.
Evaluate applicability of state and federal air quality regulations.
Prepare and submit regulatory and routine compliance reports as required.
Review and analyze emissions testing results.
Develop permitting strategies and pathways for ongoing compliance.
Maintain regular communication with clients and regulatory agencies.
Conduct site visits for compliance support and data collection.
Assist in proposal preparation and business development activities.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and relationships with clients, regulators, and vendors.
Mentor, train, and manage professional staff.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering (PE preferred).
10+ years in environmental consulting with a strong focus on air quality.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office 365.
In-depth understanding of state and federal air permitting processes (NSR, Title V, PSD, NSPS, NESHAP, BACT, etc.).
Strong written and verbal communication skills; effective in client-facing and team environments.
Ability to work independently, including in remote settings.
Detail-oriented, with proven ability to meet multiple simultaneous deadlines.
Experience with other environmental regulatory programs (stormwater, wastewater, waste management, due diligence) is a plus
