Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the assigned category.
- Analyze consumer data and insights to understand purchasing behavior and preferences.
- Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics to inform category strategies.
- Develop and maintain category performance reports, highlighting key metrics and insights.
- Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to develop effective pricing and promotional strategies.
- Assist in the planning and execution of product assortment strategies to optimize shelf space and inventory levels.
- Support negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Provide recommendations for product development and innovation based on market research.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align category strategies with overall business objectives.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in category management, retail analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with retail industry trends and consumer behavior.
