Quality Assurance Lab Technician

Job Type: Full-time | Pay: $19.00
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights), weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation required.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for performing all aspects of quality testing and monitoring for production operations. The technician will analyze standard and non-standard samples to ensure materials meet or exceed established criteria and maintain accurate quality records in the system. The position requires flexibility in scheduling due to the 24/7 nature of operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and final product testing to verify conformance to standards

• Analyze samples and document quality results in databases and logs

• Identify and troubleshoot quality issues, escalating when necessary

• Monitor inventory of lab materials and maintain equipment calibrations

• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance in the lab

• Support internal communication by sharing quality data and customer sample information

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Associate degree in a science-related field preferred

• Completion of a lab technician training program or two years of QA/QC lab experience required

• Industrial/laboratory experience preferred

Skills

• Ability to read and follow SOPs in English

• Experience handling chemicals (acids, bases, hazardous materials)

• Capable of troubleshooting instruments and maintaining a formal quality control process

Physical Demands

• Requires frequent standing, bending, crouching, and lifting up to 25 lbs

• Must have good vision and the ability to focus and work with fine detail
