New Files & Conflicts Coordinator

A full-time New Files & Conflicts Coordinator is sought for our Boston, Massachusetts office. The New Files & Conflicts Coordinator is responsible for setting up all new matters and clients for the Firm and will provide support to the Conflicts Coordinator to process conflict checks.

Reports to: Mainstream and Electronic Billing Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for setting up all new matters and clients utilizing Firm software.
  • Assign file numbers to all new matters and entering all new matter information.
  • Verify all new matter information with existing matters and clients.
  • Enter names of parties involved with each new matter in the system.
  • Check for special billing rates, instructions or other client requirements that may affect the billing system.
  • Distribute month-end reports to various Firm partners.
  • Serve as backup to the Conflicts Coordinator.
  • Send new file data forms to Executive Director for approval.
  • Update matter information as information is received, i.e., address changes, new contact names, etc.
  • Set up timekeepers in the system.

  • HS diploma or its equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Salary: $65K - $75K (salary commensurate with experience).
