We are seeking a skilled and experienced Controls Engineer to join our team in Hatfield, PA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and implementing control systems for industrial applications. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our automated systems, working closely with other engineering teams to optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop control systems and PLC programs for automated machinery and processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems and related hardware.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate control systems with overall machine design.
- Conduct testing and validation of control systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Develop and maintain documentation for control systems, including schematics, diagrams, and user manuals.
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production staff on control systems.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in control technologies and industry standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and programming PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.).
- Proficiency in HMI/SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control panel design.
- Knowledge of motion control systems, sensors, and actuators.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with robotics and vision systems.
- Familiarity with safety standards and risk assessments in an industrial setting.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications.
