Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager for our Ready-to-Eat (RTE) facility in Columbus. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing and a proven track record in managing plant operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the RTE plant, ensuring production targets are met.
- Implement and maintain high standards for food safety and quality.
- Manage and develop plant staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Develop and manage plant budgets, including capital expenditures and operational costs.
- Drive initiatives for process improvements, waste reduction, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with other departments such as logistics, procurement, and R&D to ensure smooth operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a plant management role within the food industry, preferably in RTE products.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in using production management software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
