Job Description
ProspectBlue has partnered with a premier mid-sized law firm in downtown Richmond, VA to find a motivated Associate Attorney to join its highly regarded litigation department. The ideal candidate brings an exemplary academic record, 1-3 years of civil litigation experience, and strong analytical, writing, legal research, and oral advocacy skills. Virginia State Bar membership or eligibility is required.This is an excellent opportunity for significant growth, with exposure to a wide range of complex litigation matters in a collegial, team-oriented environment.
What You'll Do:
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Conduct legal research and case analysis
- Assist with case strategy and trial preparation
- Participate in depositions, hearings, and court appearances
- Collaborate with attorneys across a wide range of complex civil litigation matters
What We're Looking For:
- Exemplary academic record
- Strong analytical, writing, legal research, and oral advocacy skills
- 1-3 years of experience in civil litigation preferred
- Active Virginia State Bar membership or eligibility required
- Collegial, team-oriented approach
Compensation for this role ranges from $100,000 to $125,000, commensurate with experience, with a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k)/retirement plan, health/dental/vision insurance, HSA/FSA, life insurance, an employee assistance program, and paid time off.
