Job Description

ProspectBlue has partnered with a reputable firm in Richmond, VA and is seeking a skilled and experienced legal professional to support a Shareholder in all stages of personal injury litigation. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, from document drafting and trial preparation to managing complex lien matters and court filings.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support to attorneys by preparing for and coordinating meetings with clients, witnesses, law enforcement, experts, and other parties for depositions, mediations, hearings, trials, and closings.

Draft legal documents, including pleadings, correspondence, discovery responses, motions, expert designations, subpoenas, and complaints.

Prepare trial materials such as redacted medical bills and assist with scheduling all trial-related activities.

Manage court deadlines by calculating and maintaining an accurate litigation calendar.

File legal documents in local, state, and federal courts—including the Court of Appeals and the Virginia Supreme Court.

Handle lien management and reconciliation, including those associated with ERISA, Medicare, Medicaid, and workers’ compensation.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records using a legal case management system.

Perform other administrative and legal support tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting plaintiff-side personal injury cases.

Skilled in conducting client intake interviews.

Demonstrated experience managing complex cases with high volumes of documentation.

Proficient in lien resolution, including ERISA, Medicare, Medicaid, and workers' compensation liens.

Familiarity with legal case management software.

Spanish bilingual skills strongly preferred.
