ProspectBlue is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Accounting Manager to join a growing, collaborative team at a dynamic organization.

In this key role, you’ll serve as the go-to expert on complex accounting matters, helping to interpret and apply U.S. GAAP, guide accounting policy decisions, and ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:

Research and interpret complex accounting guidance and apply U.S. GAAP to new or unusual transactions (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, debt, equity, stock-based compensation, M&A, etc.)
Prepare and review technical accounting memos and whitepapers for management and auditors
Drive the adoption and implementation of new accounting standards and policies
Partner with Finance, FP&A, Legal, and external auditors to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting
Provide technical accounting support for acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic initiatives
Maintain and update accounting policy documentation
Deliver training to internal stakeholders on relevant accounting topics
Assist with quarterly and annual SEC reporting, including footnote disclosures, if applicable


Required Qualifications:

CPA license (active and in good standing)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
6+ years of relevant experience, including public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred) and/or a corporate technical accounting role
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Experience preparing technical accounting documentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a publicly traded company environment
Familiarity with SOX compliance
ERP and reporting systems experience (e.g., NetSuite, Workiva, SAP)
