Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Application Programmer for a contract position in Omaha, NE. The ideal candidate will have experience in tax payments related activities, particularly in building out Payment processing functionalities such as Make a Payment, Cancel a Payment, and Edit a Payment. The role involves supporting the creation of new microservices within the following topical areas: Taxpayer, Common, Jurisdiction/Tax Tables, and User.

Responsibilities: - Develop, test, and maintain microservices for payment processing activities. - Collaborate with team members to design and implement features for tax payment systems. - Support the creation and enhancement of microservices related to Taxpayer, Common, Jurisdiction/Tax Tables, and User areas. - Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. - Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance. - Write clean, scalable code following best practices.

Requirements: - Proven experience as an Application Programmer or similar role. - Strong understanding of payment processing systems. - Proficiency in developing microservices. - Familiarity with tax payment activities and related functionalities. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with modern programming languages and frameworks. - Knowledge of tax regulations and jurisdictional tax tables. - Previous experience in the finance or tax industry.
