P3+Uplift is assisting an Ag Lender in a search for a Contract Sr. Software Engineer.  Our client provides financing to rural America and has a strong position working in capital markets. This client provides services and  funding to rural lending associations in several states.  Playing a critical role supporting businesses that make it possible for America to maintain access to one of the most innovative and evolving industries the immediate need is for a contract Software Engineer.  This position will assist in the design, development, debugging, documentation and maintenance of software and will develops solutions utilizing .Net, SQL Server, and other development tools. Must have strong working knowledge of programming languages such as Java; front-end frameworks and libraries including React and Angular. Ideal candidates will have familiarity with Docker, Docker Swarm, and Kubernetes is preferred. We are looking for solid experience working with RESTful services and hands-on development experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform. This position will be located in Austin, TX. Candidates must have strong technical backgrounds and have more than 7 years’ experience working in Agile or iterative development models with a consultative mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, tests, debugs, documents, and implements software and applications as necessary to achieve assigned goals.
  • Organizes and suggests software design recommendations.
  • Utilizes skills and abilities to fully understand and develop software based upon business requirement specifications.
  • Creates software diagrams including logical and physical system models.
  • Produces well organized and documented software solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Solicits and performs code reviews, debugging and unit testing.
  • Develop extract, transform and load (ETL) solutions.
  • Understands and makes effective use of available software development tools and environments.
  • Maintains compliance with development standards and procedures.
  • Works with users to determine application requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge and skills for the technologies utilized within the department.
  • Mentors less-senior software developers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining software.
  • Strong knowledge of the software development tools, languages .Net technologies and SQL Server.
  • Prior experience implementing design principles and techniques for software development.
  • Organized, efficient, and should use reusable software components.
  • Experience designing efficient and proper database components.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Experience utilizing interpersonal skills effectively interacting with our clients management and staff, external vendors.
  • Collaborative and ability to relate to the team dynamics are essential.
  • Must be able to work on a multiple assignments and projects throughout the work week.

Compensation/Benefits:

$70.00 to $95.00 per hour based on experience
