P3+Uplift is engaged with a large Des Moines based client in search of a contract DevOps Engineer.  In addition to the creation of DevOps practices and pipelines the Engineer will be working on security and access related applications.  Our client is looking for skilled technical lead with more than 10 years experience in DevSecOps. Must be located in a commutable distance to the Des Moines, IA office and be willing to work on site weekly.  If outside of 50 miles from Des Moines monthly travel to the Des Moines office is required.

This is a critical role ensuring DevSecOps is a focus area automating security controls, and fostering a security-first culture. You'll work closely with multiple software, cloud and security engineering development teams to identify vulnerabilities, ensure applications and infrastructure are secure and lead design to deployment practices. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Integrate security tools and processes into CI/CD pipelines.

• Automate security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA) and vulnerability management.

• Collaborate with development teams to implement secure coding practices.

• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation with embedded security control

• Advise on security best practices and emerging threats.

• Participate in security reviews of application designs and architecture, providing recommendations for secure design patterns and threat modeling exercises.

• Ensure security testing is integrated into functional and non-functional testing.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience with Sailpoint IIQ and Workday.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Typescript, Bash etc.).

• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
