Imaging Developer – Java/Spring | Hybrid
Are you a seasoned Java Developer who thrives on solving real-world problems and enjoys the satisfaction of streamlining legacy systems into modern, efficient solutions? We’re seeking a talented and self-motivated Imaging Developer to join a collaborative and supportive team working on business-critical systems that impact thousands of users.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining and enhancing backend Java/Spring applications that support document imaging and data workflows. From production support to modernization efforts, your work will directly influence system stability, operational efficiency, and the overall user experience.
Support and enhance backend Java/Spring services with a focus on operational stability and issue resolution.
Triage and troubleshoot user-reported issues, especially those involving data workflows and document/file processing.
Develop and refine complex SQL queries and stored procedures for data handling and reporting.
Drive modernization of legacy systems through code refactoring, automation, and technical debt reduction.
Partner with business stakeholders and IT peers to understand pain points and deliver thoughtful, actionable solutions.
Document technical resolutions, process flows, and enhancements to support long-term knowledge sharing.
Contribute to knowledge transfer and cross-training across tools and platforms, including document imaging and indexing systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience with:
Java (Java 8+), Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data
SQL (writing/debugging complex queries and stored procedures)
Production support of enterprise Java applications
Strong skills in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and exception handling.
Comfort working with file processing, automation scripts, and large-scale enterprise environments.
Clear and effective communication—both independently and within a team.
Experience with document management or OCR tools (e.g., Kofax, AncoraDocs, Documentum)
Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party system integrations
Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
Prior involvement in application modernization projects
