Senior Data Analyst (Contract) – Remote

Are you a data-savvy professional who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions? We’re hiring a Senior Data Analyst for a 1-year contract opportunity supporting enterprise data initiatives at a leading financial services company.

This role offers the chance to step into a critical position with a smooth handoff from the current contractor, whose assignment ends in October. You’ll have the benefit of overlapping for training and knowledge transfer before taking over key responsibilities. Remote, hybrid, or on-site work options are available.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain standardized data models across diverse products and portfolios

• Map source data and define necessary transformations

• Partner closely with engineering teams and business stakeholders to drive data initiatives forward

• Translate business requirements into logical data structures

• Help standardize and structure data to support reporting, analytics, and operational needs

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in data modeling or a strong business analysis background with a data focus

• Solid SQL skills (simple to moderately complex queries)

• Familiarity with AWS (especially S3) is preferred

• Ability to interpret and communicate data logic clearly—coding experience is not required, but analytical thinking is

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across business and IT teams

• Experience in actuarial, insurance, or financial services industries

Contract Details

• Duration: 1 year, with potential for extension 

• Work Arrangement: Fully remote, hybrid, or on-site
