Software Engineer (Mainframe)

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Mainframe Developer to join one of our key client teams in a high-impact role. This position is a backfill opportunity and we’re looking to move fast — if you have the right experience and are ready to hit the ground running, we want to talk to you.

What You’ll Do:
In this role, you won’t just write code — you’ll own the full development lifecycle. From gathering requirements and collaborating with business stakeholders to hands-on development and solution delivery, you’ll be trusted to take initiatives from idea to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate directly with business users to gather and understand requirements

• Design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBM i platform

• Work with legacy Mainframe systems using COBOL and related technologies

• Ensure solutions are robust, reliable, and meet business objectives

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong experience with IBM i (AS/400) and Mainframe environments

• Proficiency in COBOL programming

• Proven ability to handle end-to-end development projects

• Excellent communication skills — comfortable interacting with business stakeholders and translating needs into technical solutions

• Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong ownership of deliverables
