Job Description
P3+ Uplift is engaged with a Waukee based client in search of an Accountant with professional insurance tax experience. This position will work closely with a small team including a Tax Manager and Director as well as a Jr. Accountant. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running by inserting themselves into a variety of tax projects. This includes complex tax calculations ensuring federal compliance and reporting. This position will be located onsite three days a week October through May and two days a week in the summer June through September.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic tax research and analysis.
- Assists in maintanance of effective controls.
- Prepare estimated tax payments.
- Compiles documents and requests for all audit requests.
- Prepare tax resolution and related tax correspondence.
- Perform basic tax research and analysis.
- Provide oversight to less experienced tax professionals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance related Degree
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- 5 years of experience in Accounting and Finance
- 1+ years of Insurance and Tax experience preferred
- Experience using tax preparation software
- Strong skills in Excel a must.
- Accounting provisions - STAT
Compensation and Benefits:
- $130,000 - $150,000 + Annual Bonus
