Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Backend-Focused)

We’re seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong backend focus to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll help drive the development of modern, scalable enterprise microservices that power several strategic initiatives across the organization.

You’ll be at the forefront of architecting and implementing critical services in a cloud-native, event-driven environment, working with cutting-edge technologies and a passionate, collaborative team.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the design and development of robust backend services using Node.js
• Implement and maintain scalable, cloud-native microservices following industry best practices
• Write clean, testable, and automated code (Node.js with Jest)
• Work across a modern AWS stack including Lambda, Batch, EventBridge, API Gateway, RDS (Aurora), SNS, SQS, S3, ECS, and Glue
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and product owners to deliver mission-critical features
• Apply your expertise with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redshift) and NoSQL (MongoDB)
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Concourse)
• Champion best practices for version control and code management (Git)

What You Bring:

• 7+ years of full stack engineering experience with a strong focus on backend services
• 4+ years hands-on experience with Node.js
• 3+ years writing automated tests using Node.js and Jest
• Deep familiarity with microservices in enterprise settings
• Advanced SQL skills and database design expertise
• Self-motivated and hands-on approach to solving complex engineering problems
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate or work independently

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with AWS CDK or other infrastructure-as-code frameworks
• Docker proficiency
• Familiarity with ORMs in backend development
