Job Description
SUMMARY:
The role is responsible for checking and processing sales orders and offers in an accurate and timely manner before scheduling and final production. Responsibilities include reviewing each order for accuracy, supplying required drawings, addressing special design requirements, and reconciling orders that require changes or corrections.
Essential Functions:
- Receive and process sales orders and offers on a daily basis.
- Review mechanical and electrical applications for accuracy.
- Create Solid Edge and E3-Zuken drawings as required for customer orders.
- Generate shop orders and bill of materials for scheduling and final production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve order or customer issues.
- Contact sales representatives, as needed, for clarification or corrections to keep offers/orders moving toward completion.
- Respond to inquiries via Teams, email, or phone from sales managers and representatives.
- Work with engineers and/or technicians to coordinate technical aspects of special orders or projects, including research, costing, development work, problem solving, and model designing.
- Request quotes and lead times for special orders and create sales pricing for any non-standard designs.
- Participate in standardization and organizational projects aimed at improving the department and company processes.

Work Environment:
This position operates in a professional manufacturing environment. It is primarily a sedentary role, involving the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners, and filing cabinets. The role also requires visits to the manufacturing floor, where exposure to loud noises from air-powered tools/presses, oil/dirt, and forklift traffic is expected.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a regular full-time position with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week.
What do we expect from you?
Education:
- Certificate or Diploma in Electromechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
Experience:
- Technical background in electro-mechanical design.
- 2D and 3D modeling experience (AutoCAD/Solid Edge/Zuken).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 programs.
- Preferably 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A good grasp of electrical principles and applications is preferred.
