Material Handling: Stage rebar materials and assist benders.
Support Operations: Aid shear operators and manage stock shear racks.
Quality Assurance: Inspect workpieces for standards compliance.
Packaging: Prepare items for shipping with protective measures.
Work Area Maintenance: Ensure a clean and organized workspace.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to company safety policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Blueprint Analysis: Examine customer specifications using drawings or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials, and machine setup requirements.
Rebar Fabrication: Pull, cut, bend, and weld rebar assemblies to sizes specified in Engineering Prints. Create Pull-Pins for the cover casting department.
Material Handling: Stage rebar material handling skid and storage rack to support production. Assist rebar benders with metal bar positioning for bending operations.
Support Operations: Aid shear operators in clearing sheared materials and supplying stock length rebar. Receive and position steel bundles on stock shear racks, and stage bars for shearing operations.
Fabrication Duties: Perform shearing, bending, auto bonding, and threading as per work specifications. Retrieve correct materials and fabricate workpieces.
Quality Assurance: Examine workpieces using visual inspection, touch, tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure product standards.
Packaging and Shipping: Install protective devices for transportation, ensuring items are braced, padded, or strapped to prevent damage.
Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Safety Compliance: Follow company safety policies and procedures.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering prints.
Skills in rebar cutting, bending, welding, and fabrication.
Knowledge of material handling and safety procedures.
Ability to use measuring tools such as tape rules, calipers, and gauges.
