Must-Have Qualifications:
- Associates degree and 5 years of experience in heavy equipment troubleshooting and maintenance or 6+ years of relevant experience.
- A Bachelors Degree (technical) counts as two years of experience but requires at least 3 years of relevant experience in heavy equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
Required Technical Skills:
- 5+ years of troubleshooting/support skills.
- Experience and familiarity with electronic and electrical systems.
- Heavy equipment maintenance or equivalent experience (e.g., automotive).
Desired Qualifications:
- Military experience.
- Dealer experience.
Required Soft Skills:
- Customer service skills for handling difficult and sensitive situations.
Job Description:
The client seeks an Associate Service Engineer with extensive experience in troubleshooting and maintaining heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will work closely with Service end Design Engineers to research and document electronic systems issues. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interface with dealers through a ticket system, email, and phone calls to address and resolve issues.
- Regularly collaborate with other service engineers and system/component engineers to identify and resolve issues.
- Travel to proving grounds and customer sites to assist in the investigation of issues when necessary.
- Provide documentation and support for electronic systems issues.
