Must-Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 5-7 years of experience
• Basic understanding of diesel engine operation
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
• Experience with software development and validation
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Job Description:

The Software Planning Engineer will coordinate engine software design, ensure feature functionality and quality, and manage software releases for Test Cell operations and field customers. This role requires daily collaboration with internal stakeholders, investigating and resolving software defects, and continuously improving the software planning and release process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and coordinate engine software design content and schedule, software feature functionality, and quality to enable optimal engine system operations and processes.
• Execute software releases for Test Cell operations and field customers.
• Collaborate daily with internal customers, teammates, and management to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Plan, coordinate, evaluate, and validate engine software content with upstream, parallel, and downstream partners.
• Manage the engine software release process to meet schedule and cost expectations.
• Investigate engine software field defects and coordinate their resolution and validation.
• Continuously improve and document the engine software planning and releasing process.
