Lead Fiber Systems Technician

Location: Bay Area, Florida
Pay Rate: $22.00 - $25.00/hour
Shift: Varies; may include day, night, or weekend hours
Dress Code: Long pants, sleeved shirt, hard hat, steel toe work boots, safety glasses
Requirements:

• Must understand and speak English for safety reasons
• Background, drug, and E-Verify required
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel and work out of town as required

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and perform all aspects of fiber systems installation, including pulling, suspension, fireproofing, termination, and testing
• Coordinate material and tool requisitioning for projects
• Ensure compliance with safety, workmanship, and quality standards
• Accurately complete administrative tasks and time sheets
• Promote a positive work environment
• Read and interpret blueprints and written instructions
• Work in indoor and outdoor environments, requiring physical tasks such as lifting, crawling, and working on ladders

Additional Duties:

• Provide technical support and guidance to team members
• Conduct regular safety meetings and audits
• Ensure all team members are trained in proper safety and work procedures
• Maintain detailed records of all installations and repairs
