Manufacturing Associate Openings in Norton, OH

Key Information:

  • Location: Norton, OH
  • Pay: $20/hr
  • Shift: 1st shift - Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm.
  • Experience: Forklift experience a plus, chemical manufacturing experience preferred
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, stand for extended periods

Job Summary: Manufacturing Associates are responsible for operating equipment, monitoring product quality, and maintaining a safe work environment. This role requires adherence to safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and the ability to perform tasks as directed by supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow standard operating procedures, company policies, and safety regulations
  • Use proper PPE and maintain it in a safe condition
  • Operate equipment and perform tasks as instructed
  • Monitor product quality and alert supervisors of any issues
  • Perform start-up and shut-down activities as directed
  • Participate in cross-training for various line positions
  • Maintain accurate counts and document production
  • Keep the production line organized, clean, and hazard-free
  • Perform maintenance tasks as part of the Autonomous Maintenance Program
  • Achieve safety targets set by supervisors and management
  • Train laborers and new Manufacturing Associates
  • Perform general laborer duties as needed
  • Attend safety meetings and conduct safety audits
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Understanding of safety, quality, security, and operations policies/procedures
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Forklift experience is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple processes
  • Experience with SOPs and chemical manufacturing is preferred
  • Basic math skills
  • Flexible and adaptable with changing priorities
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team
  • Understanding of safety rules, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and hazard communication policies

Working Conditions:

  • 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20
  • Strong communication skills
  • Full range of motion to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop, or kneel
  • Ability to perform repetitive strenuous work under varying climate conditions
  • Safely lift up to 70 lbs
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Work in a plant environment with varying temperature levels
