Job Title: Electrical Designer/Engineer
Type: Full-time/Direct Hire
Hourly Rate: $34.62 - $62.50

About the Role: As an Electrical Designer/Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing electrical systems ranging from simple to complex applications. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects including power, lighting, distribution systems, and low-voltage system designs.

Essential Duties:

  • Design electrical systems including power, lighting, and distribution systems.
  • Conduct short circuit analysis, arc flash analysis, and overcurrent protective device coordination.
  • Develop low-voltage system designs (instrumentation, controls, telecommunications, life safety, and security systems).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams and attend client meetings to present designs.
  • Write technical specifications, sequence of operations, and testing documents.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience as an independent Electrical Designer/Engineer or Engineer in Training (EIT).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university. EIT or PE registration is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of NEC requirements, electrical circuit design, and transformer feeder design.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work in a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead projects and also work effectively as part of a team.
