Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Patient Assessment and Care Planning: They assess patients' health conditions, obtain medical histories, and collaborate with healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans.
• Medication Administration: These nurses are responsible for administering medications, ensuring proper dosage and compliance with treatment regimens.
• Wound Care and Dressing Changes: RNs perform wound care, including cleaning and dressing changes, for patients with injuries or surgical wounds.
• Patient Education: They play a crucial role in educating patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques to promote overall well-being.
• Monitoring and Documentation: RNs closely monitor patients' progress and document their observations, treatments, and any changes in health status for accurate record-keeping.
• Medical Procedures: They assist physicians in various medical procedures, such as vaccinations, minor surgeries, and diagnostic tests.

Additional Details:
Cardiology Department: 3 month assignment; approx. 16-24 hours per week. Opportunities to pick up weekend shifts.
Must have: ACLS, pass EKG test, stress testing experience & critical care experience.
Primary Duties: treadmill stress tests, stress echocardiograms, EKG interpretation


Schedule: Mon-Fri; 8a- 4:30p
Locations: Float to Viewridge and San Marcos
