Job Description
We are looking for a Polysomnographic Technician/Sleep Technologist for night time in-house sleep studies. We will need the candidate to have experience in performing sleep studies Gather and Analyze Patient Information: Review history, physical information, medications, procedure request, and study protocol; complete and verify documentation; explain procedure and orient the patient to the sleep center Follow Testing Preparation Procedures: Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing; apply electrodes and sensors; perform appropriate physiologic calibrations; perform routine positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting Perform Polysomnographic Procedures: Follow protocols and collect appropriate data; establish and document baseline values; acquire and document relevant data; implement interventions Perform Polysomnographic Record Scoring: Assist with scoring sleep/wake stages; assist with scoring clinical events; assist with the generation of accurate reports Follow Service Management and Professional Guidelines: Comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues; perform routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation; maintain current CPR or BCLS certification; demonstrate appropriate patient care and professional skills; respond to study participants procedural-related inquiries by providing appropriate information.
