Full-Time | Estimating | HVAC/Mechanical Systems
$60,000-$90,000 + commissions Based on Experience
We are seeking a Project Sales Representative/Mechanical Estimator with strong technical, analytical, and collaborative skills to support the sales and operations teams by providing accurate and timely cost estimates for commercial HVAC/mechanical projects. This role plays a key part in our ability to respond quickly to client needs and win competitive bids.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and brings a proactive mindset to problem-solving and cross-functional communication.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC/mechanical scopes, including:
New construction, equipment replacements, upfit projects, and system modifications
Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and site conditions to develop comprehensive proposals
Collaborate with Sales Directors, Project Managers, and Operations to align on project scope and delivery
Solicit and manage vendor and subcontractor pricing for materials and labor
Maintain strong vendor/subcontractor relationships to support cost accuracy and availability
Ensure all estimates are completed and submitted on time
Support internal process improvements and contribute to estimating standards and templates
Utilize Microsoft Excel and CRM tools to organize estimate data, proposals, and client records
Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical estimating (HVAC/Plumbing/Mechanical)
Proficient with Microsoft Excel; computer literacy required
Experience with CRM systems is a plus
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable collaborating across multiple departments and engaging with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
Strong ethical standards and attention to detail
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Willingness to travel as needed
Background in HVAC sales, mechanical construction, or design/build projects
Understanding of estimating software platforms or digital takeoff tools
Exposure to both new construction and retrofit project estimating
