About the Role
The Project Engineer plays a critical role in coordinating logistics, tracking project progress, and ensuring quality and compliance on all plumbing and construction projects. This role supports project managers and field teams with documentation, reporting, scheduling, and technical coordination to ensure projects are delivered successfully.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics and tracking systems for orders, deliveries, tools, and equipment rentals.
- The Project Engineer must be able to view blueprints, understand the scope of work, read the specs, and determine costs.
- This individual must enter data to monitor labor, subcontractor costs, equipment rental costs and material costs against the estimate.
- Assist with employee security clearances and compliance requirements.
- Review, process, and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and drawings.
- Maintain testing logs, filing systems, and productivity tracking reports.
- Support quality assurance and compliance checks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attend project meetings and provide updates to general contractors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with commissioning, pre-functional checklists, and system start-ups.
- Collaborate with senior project managers, field supervisors, and company leadership on schedules, reports, and forecasting.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a project engineering, construction, or plumbing-related role.
- Strong knowledge of construction documents, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with project management software, MS Office, and other industry applications.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain professionalism.
