Job Description

Construction QA/QC Specialist

We are seeking a Construction QA/QC Specialist to support quality assurance and quality control functions across mechanical construction projects. This role ensures compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and company procedures while promoting safety, accuracy, and efficiency. The position requires regular travel to job sites and close collaboration with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings, schematics, and flow diagrams.
  • Familiarity with testing equipment and ability to analyze results.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with employees, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Professional, team-oriented, and positive attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, BIM, Bluebeam, and cloud-based platforms.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new procedures and workflows.
  • Flexibility to support after-hours testing when needed.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Travel to project sites and review job specifications, submittals, and drawings 
  • Implement and oversee the Quality Control Plan for assigned projects.
  • Ensure compliance with welding quality assurance procedures (WPS, PQR, Weld Logs, Weld Travelers).
  • Monitor all mechanical scopes of work, including subcontractor installations.
  • Verify testing, flushing, and cleaning activities meet contract requirements.
  • Manage non-conformance and corrective action programs.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation in both digital and hard copy formats.
  • Conduct receiving inspections for materials and equipment.
  • Perform component verification for major equipment per approved submittals.
  • Oversee welding quality control and mechanical system installations.
  • Monitor subcontractor work to ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Witness and document Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for mechanical equipment.
  • Coordinate pipe flushing, cleaning, and disinfecting with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Facilitate mechanical start-up activities with vendors or qualified technicians.
  • Support commissioning in collaboration with third-party groups, internal teams, and clients.


  • 3-5 years of knowledge in Ductwork, piping or plumbing. 
  • Hands-on training and ongoing educational support provided.
