Senior Building Inspector - Industrial & Semiconductor Facilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Building Inspector to join our Project Controls team. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of experience in building inspection and construction, with a strong background in industrial and semiconductor projects. This role requires deep knowledge of building codes and regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with city inspectors and construction teams to ensure successful inspection outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and advise on building inspection procedures, codes, and standards.
• Interpret building codes and regulations to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Collaborate with city inspectors, contractors, and project stakeholders to address inspection needs.
• Identify potential issues and provide proactive solutions to avoid delays.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with all parties involved in inspections.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in building inspection and construction (industrial/semiconductor projects preferred).
• ICC Building Inspection Certification or equivalent degree required.
• Strong knowledge of codes, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply building codes accurately.

Preferred:

• Additional certifications or licenses in building inspection or code interpretation.
• Prior experience as a city building inspector in Austin or the Austin metro area.
• Consulting or construction management experience.
