BIM SPECIALIST
Job Title: Revit Specialist – Mechanical & Sheet Metal
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Employment Type: Full‑time
We’re seeking a Revit Specialist with a strong mechanical engineering background and proven sheet metal modeling expertise. You’ll own Revit MEP modeling, family creation for sheet metal fabrication, clash detection, and BIM coordination—delivering fabrication‑ready drawings that meet SMACNA and ASTM standards.
Revit Family Creation: Author and maintain families for sheet metal components (ductwork, transitions, plenums, louvers).
BIM Coordination & Clash Detection: Use Navisworks, BIM 360, or equivalent for model coordination and conflict resolution.
Documentation & Deliverables: Produce detailed, fabrication‑ready drawings, schedules, and BIM reports.
Standards & QA/QC: Develop and enforce Revit templates, project standards, and QA/QC checklists.
Technical Support & Training: Mentor junior BIM techs on Revit workflows, sheet metal practices, and parameter usage.
Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or equivalent experience.
3+ years Revit MEP experience with 2+ years focused on sheet metal family creation.
Expert in Revit Family Editor, Parameters, Schedules, and BIM 360 collaboration.
Proficiency in clash detection tools (Navisworks, BIM 360).
Deep understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and industry standards (SMACNA, ASTM).
Strong attention to detail and clear, collaborative communication skills.
Experience with Dynamo or other scripting for task automation.
Familiarity with Advance Steel or AutoCAD Fabrication CAD MEP.
Background in cloud‑based BIM platforms (Revit Server, BIM 360).
