Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Procurement Lead to oversee procurement activities across various engineering and construction projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely, cost-effective purchasing aligned with project goals and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end procurement process for assigned projects, from planning to closeout
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure materials and services meet specifications and deadlines
  • Develop and manage project specific procurement strategies to support cost control and schedule adherence
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure best value
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, and compliance with contract terms
  • Ensure procurement documentation is maintained in alignment with internal standards and project requirements
  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in procurement processes and vendor management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in project based procurement, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Strong understanding of construction or fabrication supply chains
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and vendors in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software
