Safety Coordinator – Construction


Certifications Required: STS-C or higher, OSHA 510, CPR/AED, First Aid

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to support and execute our Site-Specific Safety Plan (SSSP) across active construction projects. This role is vital in ensuring workplace health and safety compliance, overseeing daily field operations, and conducting proactive safety audits and training sessions. The ideal candidate is experienced in construction safety protocols, has strong communication skills, and is certified in accordance with BCSP and OSHA standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Safety Manager in executing the Site-Specific Safety Plan (SSSP).
  • Lead and participate in job site safety inspections, weekly audits, and walkthroughs.
  • Coordinate and administer safety training, including emergency procedures, NFPA70E, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Oversee and mentor subcontractors' safety professionals to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Implement and promote a daily warm-up/stretching exercise program before work and after scheduled breaks.
  • Manage case/care incidents and support injury prevention strategies.
  • Maintain documentation for all safety-related activities, inspections, and training sessions.
  • Serve as an on-site responder with certified training in First Aid, CPR/AED, Narcan, and Bloodborne Pathogens.

Required Qualifications:

  • BCSP Certification (STS-C – Safety Trained Supervisor–Construction or higher)
  • OSHA 510 certification
  • CHST
  • CPR/AED, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens/Narcan training
  • Strong working knowledge of NFPA 70E standards and LOTO procedures.
  • Experience in safety coordination in the construction or industrial field.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
