We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Service Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on medium to large, complex plumbing systems. The ideal candidate ensures high-quality work, upholds safety standards, and maintains positive, professional relationships with customers.
Adhere to all company and customer-specific safety policies, protocols, and procedures.
Accurately complete time-sensitive documentation (e.g., work orders, receipts, IVR logs, customer portals).
Utilize mobile technologies for documentation and communication.
Maintain a professional appearance, including personal attire, tools, vehicles, and job sites.
Secure purchase orders, properly use P-cards, and document purchases.
Manage vehicle inventory and tool tracking using internal systems and inventory checks.
Communicate work status and location regularly with the service coordinator.
Attend meetings and training sessions as required (e.g., safety/toolbox talks, performance reviews).
Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, including supply lines, wastewater systems, grease lines, and hydronic heating/cooling systems.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks per service agreements and coordinate inspection schedules.
Perform other duties as assigned.
State Journeyman or Master Plumber License preferred.
EPA 608 Universal Certification required upon start.
Strong understanding of BOCA Code and OSHA safety regulations.
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a plumbing service technician or related role.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Composure and problem-solving skills in emergency situations.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to interpret technical data and make decisions based on measurable criteria.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, overtime, and emergency call-outs.
Ability to wear required PPE (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, fall protection).
Must be able to see clearly (corrected or uncorrected).
Capable of lifting up to 80 lbs. with assistance when necessary.
Physically able to perform tasks involving:
Frequent lifting (20–50 lbs.), kneeling, bending, reaching overhead, walking, and standing.
Occasional heavy lifting (51–80 lbs.) and sitting.
Frequent climbing of ladders and stairs.
Working at heights and performing repetitive motions.
Work is performed on job sites or customer facilities, including outdoors, rooftops, and mechanical rooms.
Exposure to moving equipment, noise, vibrations, fumes, extreme temperatures, and electrical hazards.
May involve working in confined spaces and elevated locations.
