About the Role

Are you a seasoned plumbing professional ready to lead multimillion-dollar commercial and industrial construction projects? Our client is looking for a highly experienced Superintendent to oversee and manage large-scale plumbing installations and teams across complex job sites.

You’ll be the key field leader, managing crews of 20+ and ensuring successful project execution—on time, within budget, and with top-tier safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Field Supervision

  • Oversee daily operations of plumbing crews (foremen, journeymen, apprentices, subcontractors).
  • Lead plumbing projects valued at $7.5 million+ with a focus on safety, productivity, and quality.
  • Serve as the primary on-site representative and point of contact with clients, GCs, and trade partners.
  • Set and enforce daily and weekly goals for team performance.

Installation & Technical Oversight

  • Supervise installation of water, sanitary, storm systems, plumbing equipment, and fixtures per code and spec.
  • Review blueprints, specs, submittals, and building codes to ensure compliant work.
  • Coordinate material orders, fabrication scheduling, and delivery logistics.
  • Maintain and update “as-built” drawings and ensure correct execution in the field.

Technology & Documentation

  • Use company-issued apps to complete timecards, safety logs, daily reports, JHAs, equipment checklists, and scheduling updates.
  • Capture job progress and site photos using tablets or mobile devices.
  • Submit documentation for incidents, inspections, safety permits, and audits as required.

Safety Leadership

  • Act as the OSHA Competent Person on-site, identifying and correcting unsafe conditions.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety walks, and PPE inspections.
  • Lead emergency response and incident reporting, including near-miss events.

Team Development & Communication

  • Mentor and train team members to improve safety, productivity, and technical quality.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal staff and external partners.
  • Communicate issues to management and proactively solve problems in the field.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years of hands-on plumbing experience (commercial or industrial).
  • Experience managing teams of 20+ on large construction projects.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • OSHA 30 Certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to use construction apps and digital tools for project management.

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • County or state-issued Journeyman license (or equivalent field experience).
  • Proficient in plumbing systems installation, fixture layout validation, and safety protocol enforcement.
