Safety Manager
As a Safety Manager, you will be responsible for leading safety efforts on active job sites, with a focus on proactive coaching and collaboration. You will manage and enforce company and project-specific safety plans while fostering a culture of safety awareness and compliance. The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years of safety management experience in data center or industrial construction environments and excels at incident investigation, employee engagement, and digital documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary safety lead for large-scale data center construction projects.
- Promote a "coach approach" to safety – encouraging education, engagement, and empowerment.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections, safety briefings, and toolbox talks.
- Investigate all incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Maintain and track all safety-related documentation and reports using Procore and other software systems.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and client-specific safety standards.
- Assist with safety onboarding for all site personnel and trade partners.
- Lead and support job site safety audits, corrective action plans, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with project management and field leadership to align safety goals and execution.
Required Qualifications:- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Manager in a data center, mission-critical, or industrial construction environment.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety regulations.
- OSHA 30 or OSHA 510 Certification
- Proven experience leading incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Procore, Microsoft Office Suite, and safety tracking platforms.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching skills – ability to build trust with trades and project teams.
- Must be a team player with a hands-on, proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), CHST, or other relevant certifications.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Experience managing multiple projects or multi-phase construction sites.
