Job Description:

Are you a passionate individual seeking an opportunity to kickstart your career in the dynamic realm of Commercial Construction and HVAC? Our client is actively seeking an Entry-Level Project Engineer to join our innovative team and embark on an exciting journey in the construction industry.

As an Entry-Level Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in assisting our seasoned professionals in the successful execution of construction projects, with a mechanical plumbing, piping and commercial HVAC systems. You will have the chance to work on diverse projects ranging from commercial buildings to industrial facilities, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Assist in conducting site surveys and assessments to gather necessary information for project planning and execution.
  • Participate in the procurement process by preparing RFIs, RFPs, and evaluating subcontractor bids.
  • Support the coordination of project activities, including material procurement, subcontractor scheduling, and equipment delivery.
  • Assist in the review of project drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Utilize project management software to track project progress, update documentation, and communicate with team members.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying any discrepancies and proposing solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with field personnel to address any on-site issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Support the commissioning and testing of HVAC systems, ensuring functionality and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including meeting minutes, change orders, and as-built drawings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of construction principles and HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Procore, or Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when necessary.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Prior internship or co-op experience in construction or HVAC is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a dynamic industry environment.
