Electrical Project Manager

Position Overview:

As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing electrical projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of electrical projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
  • Meet with clients to understand project requirements, goals, and expectations.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with project stakeholders.
  • Lead and supervise a team of electrical engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure that all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that may arise.
  • Manage project budgets and expenditures, tracking costs and ensuring adherence to financial targets.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure quality control and safety compliance.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to clients and senior management.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors to facilitate project success.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project delivery.

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  •  Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager or similar role, with a minimum of 5-7 years in project management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and components.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.

5% travel requirement.
