Overview:
Our client is currently seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join their dynamic team in Kingsport, TN. With over 75 years of excellence in the industry, we're looking for a professional with a profound understanding of construction projects, including Chemical, Pulp & Paper, and Heavy Industrial sectors. This role is pivotal in ensuring our projects are estimated accurately, aligning with our strategic execution plans and budget objectives.

What You Will Be Doing 

• Conduct detailed cost analysis for Industrial Electrical projects, from conceptual to detailed estimates.
• Collaborate with the Estimating Manager and Superintendents to devise project execution strategies, identifying complexity factors and special equipment requirements.
• Utilize advanced construction software tools for estimating, scheduling, and bid management to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Engage in pre-bid meetings, review project specifications, and organize bid documents professionally.
• Maintain precise records of estimates and timelines, ensuring clarity and transparency throughout the bidding process.
• Forge and nurture relationships with key electrical suppliers to foster a competitive bidding environment, aiming for optimal pricing in estimates.

The Ideal Candidate

• Demonstrated experience in pre-construction and estimating within the commercial/industrial construction sector.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction estimating software.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on time management and organizational abilities.
• Adept at problem-solving, with a keen ability to view projects from a construction business owner’s perspective.
• Consistent, reliable attendance with adherence to safety standards.
• Ability to understand and execute instructions from supervisors effectively.
