Position DescriptionOur Client is a leading provider of Building Automation, Lighting and
Security Systems is seeking a Highly Motivated Controls Project Manager for its operations in the Columbus, Ohio Area and surrounding markets.
Responsibilities
This position will manage and supervise all company functions related to controls on assigned projects assuring a successful completion of our contractual commitments.
Some of the responsibilities include:
• By reviewing plans, specifications, submittals and other contract documentation creates
a job plan for the successful completion of assigned projects.
• Prepares and maintains accurate labor forecasts.
• Schedules and supervises all installation and technical labor on assigned projects.
• Negotiates, issues, and supervises subcontract agreements.
• Participates in monthly job progress billings.
• Plans effectively by forecasting the need for equipment, materials and manpower.
• Orders the necessary material.
• Controls job cost, closely monitoring necessary tasks.
• Participates in regular job cost reviews reporting profit status to management.
• Maintains a professional rapport with architects, engineers, building owners, installers
and suppliers.
• Attends necessary job meetings.
• Assures that contractual obligation has been met and that all close-out documents are
submitted.
Qualifications
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Effective communication skills, (written and oral)
• Must have managerial skills to plan, direct, organize, and control the activities of others.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.
• Decisive individual with a strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Degree in Construction Management is a plus.
• Valid Driver License and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
