Electrical Division Manager

Location: Charleston, South Carolina

Our dynamic electrical contracting company is seeking a seasoned leader to take on the pivotal role of Electrical Division Manager. In this key position, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the division's operations, financial performance, business development, project management, personnel, safety, and compliance, all while maintaining open and effective communication channels.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Federal, wastewater, industrial, and/or heavy commercial electrical work experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years in the electrical contracting industry.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager.
  • 3+ years as a Senior Electrical Project Manager.
  • Proven track record with 3+ years in management and leadership roles.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering OR 10+ years of relevant field experience.
  • Master Electrician license is highly desirable.

What You Will Be Doing 

  1. Leadership:

    • Provide impactful leadership by setting clear goals, developing strategic plans, and ensuring the division achieves or surpasses performance targets.
  2. Financial Management:

    • Ensure the financial well-being of the division by creating and managing budgets, monitoring and reporting financial performance, and identifying growth and profitability opportunities.
  3. Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the division's expertise, managing client relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
  4. Project Management:

    • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of all electrical projects within the division, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely, on-budget, and client-satisfactory completion.
  5. People Management:

    • Train and manage a dedicated team within the division, setting performance goals, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  6. Safety and Compliance:

    • Ensure all divisional work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
  7. Communication:

    • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, employees, suppliers, and senior management. Provide regular reports on divisional performance, opportunities, and challenges.
