Position Summary:
We seek an experienced Welding Inspector with Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification and expertise in Ultrasonic Testing (UT). This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality of welded components and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Visual Inspection: Ensure welds adhere to specified procedures and codes through visual inspections.
  2. Examination Techniques: Conduct thorough examinations using various techniques, including Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
  3. Defect Identification: Identify and document weld defects, discontinuities, and imperfections based on established criteria.
  4. UT Expertise: Utilize ultrasonic testing equipment to assess weld integrity and detect internal defects.
  5. Result Interpretation: Interpret UT results, generating detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
  6. Documentation: Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, detailing results, findings, and recommended actions.
  7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inspection activities, including weld documentation, UT reports, and certifications.
  8. Collaboration: Work with engineering and project management teams for proper documentation and compliance.
  9. Communication: Effectively communicate with welding personnel, QA/QC, project managers, and engineering teams to address issues.
  10. Safety Focus: Maintain a strong focus on safety throughout the inspection process, adhering to guidelines.
  11. Quality Control: Promote a culture of quality control and continuous improvement in welding processes.
  12. Adherence to Standards: Ensure compliance with industry codes, welding procedures, and standards during inspections.
  13. Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest welding techniques, technologies, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  1. Certifications: Hold a valid CWI certification and UT certification from an accredited organization.
  2. Welding Knowledge: In-depth understanding of welding processes, techniques, and standards.
  3. Experience: Demonstrated experience in welding inspection and UT in mechanical industries.
  4. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with accurate identification and interpretation of welding defects.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for detailed reports and effective communication.
  6. Safety Consciousness: Strong commitment to safety and the ability to promote a safe working environment.
  7. Team Collaboration: Capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
