Job Description

Job Title: Site Work Superintendent

As a Site Work Superintendent, you will be responsible for the efficient management and supervision of assigned projects. This role involves overseeing all aspects of field operations, ensuring site safety, maintaining productivity, adhering to schedules, delivering high-quality work, and coordinating with trade contractors and suppliers. You will collaborate closely with the Project Manager to lead the project team, reporting directly to the Site Work Project Manager.

What You Will Be Doing 

  • Coordinate and supervise on-site construction activities.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Prioritize job site safety and enforce compliance with safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Review plans and specifications, resolving issues effectively.
  • Develop work procedures, schedules, and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Conduct daily inspections to maintain quality control.
  • Identify training needs and provide training to field personnel.
  • Monitor and coach field personnel performance.
  • Collaborate on hiring and firing decisions.
  • Foster effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Manage material orders and inspections.
  • Build positive relationships with customers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Site Work Project Manager.
  • Operate equipment and perform site work duties as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Adaptability to various physical tasks in challenging conditions.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Advanced knowledge of construction principles and techniques.
  • Familiarity with Federal and State regulations.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, hiring, and supervision.
  • Ability to interpret construction documents.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to work collaboratively.
  • 15 years of experience in construction site preparations and bid processes.
  • FDOT MOT Certification (preferred: CDL).
