Title: Senior Business Analyst
Location: Las Vegas, NV (hybrid schedule)
Type: Contract with possibility of full-time hire
We currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst to drive technology initiatives that connect business goals with scalable solutions. You will partner with stakeholders and IT teams to translate needs into clear requirements, improve workflows, and deliver cost‑effective enhancements across enterprise systems from evaluation through rollout and post‑implementation.
Your role:
- Lead discovery to identify business needs, map current and future workflows, and define success metrics.
- Translate business objectives into clear business, functional, and system requirements using interviews, user stories, use cases, and workflow analysis.
- Build and refine process designs, technology frameworks, and configuration rules that improve efficiency and reduce cost.
- Manage requirements through version, change, and release control; maintain accurate documentation and baselines.
- Coordinate vendor evaluations, contract input, and solution fit; escalate and resolve issues with partners as needed.
- Oversee enhancements to applications and platforms; provide technical guidance to development and QA teams.
- Create test strategies and plans, document defects, validate fixes, and guide user acceptance through go‑live.
- Plan and execute implementations and rollouts with user teams; lead post‑implementation reviews and continuous improvement.
- Develop training materials and deliver sessions to enable adoption across stakeholder groups.
- Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders, client success, developers, and project teams to keep scope, schedule, and quality on track.
- Research and recommend new tools or platforms; prepare functional specs and RFP inputs when needed.
- Manage resources, risks, and contingencies across assigned initiatives while mentoring junior analysts.
What you’ve got:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 4+ years of directly relevant experience.
- 8+ years in business analysis or operations with deep domain knowledge and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Extensive experience eliciting and documenting requirements, defining business rules, and producing diagrams and models.
- Strong command of SDLC practices including change, version, baseline, and release management.
- Track record mentoring analysts and raising team standards for requirements, documentation, and testing.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project coordination skills.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and online project management tools.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, propose pragmatic solutions, and drive decisions with data.
- Experience partnering with vendors on evaluations, contracts, integrations, and troubleshooting.
- Awareness of ITIL v3 (training preferred).
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required certifications or regulatory licenses.
- Preferred: Experience with finance systems and data needs such as procure‑to‑pay, fixed assets, and FP&A.
